Etsy find: Earthy-inspired prints

As you can imagine, my Etsy favorites section is overwhelmingly long. There is hardly a day that goes by when I don't find something I'm smitten with (if only I had the budget and space to invest in all these awesome pieces). Perusing through my list today, I noticed The Wheatfield Shop and I can't believe I never posted Katie's lovely prints. No Florida or DC ones yet, but some lovely, earthly prints, quotes and maps are available.

Love these!

Etsy saves my cube

In an effort to create a space at work that absolutely does not evoke a sense of cube travails, I'm always on the hunt for new photos or prints to hang in my cube walls. I lucked out recently when the wonderfully talented Alaina of Live Creating Yourself custom designed a print for me after I was inspired by her amazing home office. To be posted soon, I promise!

And, shocker, I've also tacked up a few DC map stationery cards designed by one of my favorite local artists, Mary Belcher.

Continuing my collection, I purchased this print today, in parisian blue, from the Etsy Keep Calm Shop:

The shop has tons of cute other designs too, here are a few more personal favorites...

Print love: California street maps

I've shared my love for maps a time or two here, a penchant I think stems from the fact that I've moved about seven times and probably also from my innate need to compensate for my lack of directional sense. But all digressing aside, I was excited to stumble on some cool prints featured on La Belle Vie's Tumblr account a few days ago. The California collection from Pink Bathtub Designs is fun and cute, and if I had actually ever been to California, I would probably snatch these up in a heartbeat. But since I've yet to make it out to the West Coast, I'm hoping that a Florida or DC line will be in the works soon.

Enjoy!

Things I Love this Spring

I have a penchant for collecting prints. I'm always finding cute sketches, drawing or watercolors when I travel or peruse around the local flea markets/craft shows and I can never help but to pick up a couple here and there. Needless to say this has led to a somewhat random collection of prints, that for the most part are stuffed into drawers, unframed, as I live in a rental apartment with little wall space in my room. One day, I plan on creating a gallery wall with all of my collections, but until then I'll just rotate them in and out as the mood strikes.

My latest obsession was found while scouring through Design Sponge last week where I saw these fun bookshelf prints. As collecting miscellaneous books probably surpasses my collection of prints, combining the two seems like the natural second step, right? Available on Etsy, these Jane Mount prints come detailing a wide variety of books. I think the children's collection would be perfect for a kids room or nursery. Also available on her Web site are a few more designs, including a bookshelf print nearly identical to my own book collection currently propped against the wall.
Kids Collection - Pat the Bunny, how cute!
Jodi Picoult books, a girl after my own heart.

Aside from my obsession with books and prints, I've also fallen in love with the ranunculus flowers that are currently in bloom. So soft and lovely, they remind me of peonies. I'm hoping they have some a the market this weekend.
