Travel on the mind

After reading the Times travel piece on Lerici, Italy this morning, all I want right now is to be near the sea.

Wishing I was here:

Design: Bookshelf Love

It's no secret that I love words, stories, books and everything therein between. So when I stumbled across BookShelfPorn, a site completely devoted to books and the the houses that hold them, I knew it was a good find.

A daily devotional for book and design lovers.

To you, love me

If you haven't stopped by ThxThxThx, make sure you head over there as soon as possible; it's quickly becoming one of my favorite daily reads. In this daily exercise in gratitude, Leah writes thank yous to a variety of items, people and things, each inspiring and wonderful in their own right.

Amid these busy days, sometimes a girl just needs a reminder to give thanks.

In secret kept, in silence sealed

Some days I wonder if I should just work on developing my Tumblr a little more, rather than blogging as it seems to be a better platform for the miscellaneous photos and quotes I stumble upon. But I'm not quite ready to leave this space yet, so perhaps I'll just continue repurposing items from my favorite Tumblrs.

Stumbled upon this today from Karishma whose blog I adore. This Jane Eyre quote is one of my absolute favorites.

... The thoughts, the hopes, the dreams, the pleasures, whose charms were broken if revealed.

Check out her post for the full round-up, but the work of Eric Piasecki (room 4) is to die for.

And I sure wouldn't mind coming home to this:
